President's Message

Greetings from the Calgary Bar Association. We hope all of our members are pleased to be putting the winter months behind us as we look forward to the warmer months ahead. We wish to thank all of those members who have supported the Calgary Bar Association with the purchase and/or renewal of their 2012 Membership.

The Calgary Bar Association has been active with our sponsorship of Milvain Chair in Advocacy in January and our annual Curling Bonspiel which was held in early March. The Curling Bonspiel proved to be yet another opportunity for our members to demonstrate their skills on the ice and enjoy an afternoon of recreation and fun. The Executive wishes to thank those who participated and hope to see you all again next year. Please refer to our Events section for further details.

We also wish to thank those members who attended the recent QC Dinner held at the Westin. It was a well-attended and celebratory evening of recognition for those recipients of this year's Queen's Counsel designation.

As the City prepares to recognize the 100th Anniversary of the Calgary Stampede, we are excited to be again hosting our annual Whoop-Up party. Please watch for our upcoming spring mail out for further details.
