STAMPEDE WHOOP UP

The annual Whoop-Up Stampede Party is one of the Calgary Bar Association’s marquee events. The bash traditionally occurs on the Tuesday afternoon of Stampede week with exclusive access to one of the city’s finest watering holes and carries on long into the evening.

The Whoop-Up is the best attended event of the year, attracting anywhere from 1,000 to 1,200 members and their guests to enjoy each other's company. It is events like this that set the foundation for Calgary’s well-known civility in practice!

2024 stampede whoop-up

After the success of last year event’s, the Stampede Whoop-Up is back at the National on 10th! We have secured exclusive use of the entire venue on National on 10th Ave including the bowling alley and patio. Get ready to mingle with a thousand or so of your colleagues from across the city!

  • CBA Members ► This event is for current CBA members. Admission is included in your 2024 membership fee. Members must present their current membership card at the door.

  • GUEST PASSES ► Members are allowed one non-CBA guest each. Your guest must be accompanied by the member at the time of entry. Guest passes are now available for purchase — click the “Purchase Guest Pass” button to proceed.

  • Online sales of Memberships and Guest Passes will close on Fri July 5th at 5pm as a cut off to allow our volunteers time to prepare for the event.

  • Memberships and Guest Pass purchases will be available at the door with cash or credit card.

FAQs

What is included with admission to the event?

  • Event admission includes two drink tickets and one meal ticket.

  • As this event is “festive”, we encourage everyone to leave their vehicles at home and make alternate transportation arrangements. Taxi chits will be available upon request.

What if I lost my membership card? Or if I purchased a membership but I don’t have my card yet?

  • Membership Cards which were purchased two weeks prior to the event will be held at “Will Call” for pick up at the door.

  • If you do not have your card on hand, we can look you up on our 2024 Membership list for reference.
